Welcome to my first ever blog

Hi my name is Gary Silver and I’m a Director at AWD online and have been handed the responsibility of managing and updating our Company Blog with useful, informative and interesting topics and stories. So not too much pressure then.

I will try my best to blog about relevant stuff related to the recruitment industry, the job market and other topical things that are going on in the world, and will endeavour to keep the blogs fairly concise and to the point.

Blogging is new to me, and this is my first actual blog. So please be kind with your comments. That’s if anyone’s actually reading this.

About me

As I have been given the post of resident blogger at AWD online, some of my colleagues suggested that I should write a couple of lines about myself, so I will promise not to bore you too much and just summarise my experience below.

I have been working in the recruitment industry for over 14 years recruiting for contract and permanent vacancies. A large part of my career has involved recruiting within the IT sector, and as the years went by I have gained valuable recruiting experience in a wide range of other sectors, such as HR, Sales, Marketing, New Media, Engineering, Finance, Retail and Administration.

I really enjoy my job and play a very hands on role within the company, which also includes making the tea and coffee when it’s my turn.

I hope My First Blog wasn’t too tedious to read and gives you an incite to what the future blogs will be about. Must go for now, but will be back soon.
